This Crucial m4 512GB 2.5-Inch 9.5mm SATA 6Gb/s was my first SSD purchase. I wanted to wait for the prices to come down enough and I decided it was time to throw it into my build. I couldn't be happier that I did. I was excited to experience Solid State technology firsthand, this product is of an amazing precision. It could not have been any easier to install.

The immediate effects were as follows: boot-up time has been greatly reduced, these drives have zero moving parts and as such do not generate heat, these drives also have a proprietary programming which treats all files compressed or not the same as a result these drives deliver the true speed advertised unlike most other products that do not delivery in this department.

I moved Windows 7 Ultimate to the drive along with Microsoft Office 2010 and the speed is about 6x's faster! I am over joyed. I highly recommend all Crucial products including drives, memory and micro-Disk cards. They will also run on Mac, Linux, and Unix based platforms.

Increased Performance: Very noticeable difference. I always shut down my computer after every use. My PC used to take a over 2 minutes to boot. Then after booting, I will have to wait another few minutes for everything to "start up".

So, my routine would be turn on the PC, and walk away and eventually comes back to use the PC. With the new Crucial 128 GB m4 SSD, my PC now boots in less than 30 seconds, and I can use it immediately. The SSD eliminated the annoying "start up". This is exactly why I wanted a SSD boot drive.

Again, Crucial m4 512GB 2.5-Inch 9.5mm SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Drive CT512M4SSD2  is a luxury item and I'm happy to pay for it. For me it was worth every penny. If you have money to spare, the Crucial 512GB m4 is highly recommended!
